mcw casino mexico [Source: Reuters] Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone praised the impact of his substitutes after his side rallied to record their ninth straight win in all competitions by beating Sevilla 4-3 in LaLiga this morning. Atletico rallied from 3-1 down in the second half helped by Simeone’s substitutions, including the introduction of Brazilian winger Samuel Lino, who equalised before Antoine Griezmann sealed the comeback. With Atletico sitting third on 35 points, one point behind Real Madrid and just three behind leaders Barcelona, the Argentine coach pointed to the performance of substitutes as key to making his side a title contender. “The team is working very well as a unit. It makes me happy when those who are waiting enter into the match well. Because that’s the strength to stay in the game,” Simeone told a news conference. “They have all played since we started (the season) and they have played quite a lot, almost all of them. Some have made better use of the chances they’ve been given, others are trying to improve to get more. “Lino’s goal makes me happy because he’s been looking for it. Today he scored an important goal for the comeback and hopefully it will give him the confidence he needs. “Today the team made me very happy with the reaction they had with the substitutions.” Atletico’s talisman and all-time top scorer Griezmann bagged a double, earning praise from his coach. “He wasn’t playing well in the first half, but with little he had already done a lot,” Simeone said. “In the second half I think he improved, the fourth goal came, and well, we love him a lot. “He’s a guy who has always given absolutely everything to Atletico Madrid.” Despite Atletico’s fine form, Simeone remained cautious and said his team will face more challenges during a very long season. “In a long season, with so many games, with LaLiga, Champions League, Copa del Rey, Club World Cup, there are many games and obviously we are going to have to go through different stages,” he said. “The most important thing is to be strong and to make sure that these situations do as little damage as possible.”

The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) says it is implementing a new integrated border management system known as the “Immigration 360” meant to fully automate passenger processing and data management at all the 48 approved entry/exit points of the country and other operational commands. The $94.6 million new border management system, it said, also seeks to address challenges with sovereignty, interoperability and other inadequacies associated with the existing systems installed at 12 approved borders. The GIS explains that as part of Phase One of the project, it was installing border management systems including an e-Gate component at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra KIA which was geared at enhancing smooth passenger clearance and processing. The Deputy Commissioner of Immigration (DCI) Special Duties/Public Affairs Department of the GIS, Maud Anima Quianoo said the whole component at the KIA comprising the immigration control systems and the e-gates cost $5.5 million. The e-Gate system alone comprising 15 units of e-Gates with accessories which form part of the border management system being installed at KIA costs $1.7 million. Reacting to claims circulating on social media and other platforms suggesting that the e-Gates System deployed at the KIA) costs the taxpayer $240 million, the GIS in the statement clarified that the $240 million referenced in the circulating article on social media was in relation to the whole cycle cost of the project including the initial implementation cost of $94,664,374.57. “The $240 million includes two periodic wholesale upgrades of the critical components of the system and cost of maintenance and licenses over the 10-year cycle of the project. The first upgrade type is in three replacement cycles of key components of the system. The second upgrade type is two (2) 5-year upgrade cycles within ten (10) years to replace major components of the technical infrastructure. This is to ensure a refresh of the system at all times and to ensure the hand back of a brand-new system at the end of the ten-year period, the GIS press statement said. It added that after accounting for Valued Added Tax (VAT) and other taxes, the total came to $274 million, which includes maintenance and hands-on support services over a 10-year period to guarantee the system was operational around-the-clock. “It is worth noting that the Immigration 360 provides the benefits of integrating seamlessly with local Databases which include the Ghana’s National Identification System (NIS), Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), National Stop/Watch List, and International Systems. Namely , Interpol, ICAO’s Public Key Directory (PKD), Advanced Passenger Information (API) , Passenger Name Record (PNR), Personal Identification Secure Comparison and Evaluation System (PISCES) which facilitate travel, trade and security. Concluding, the GIS said the system developed by Margins ID Systems Application Ltd, a private, local Ghanaian company, offers the capabilities to also integrate the various visas and permits issued by the GIS with the border controls processes across the country. “It is important to note that, Margins ID Systems Application Ltd (MIDSA) is pre-financing the implementation cost of $94,664,374.57 and will be repaid from revenue that will accrue from the use of the system. “ BY TIMES REPORTERUS announces nearly $1 bn in new military aid for Ukraine

LONGBOAT KEY, Fla., Nov. 27, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Rumble ( NASDAQ:RUM ), the video-sharing platform and cloud services provider, today sued the California Attorney General and Secretary of State over a recently passed law that unconstitutionally punishes certain political speech. Rumble is represented by Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a non-profit law firm that defends the right to speak freely and which also represents the satirical website “The Babylon Bee” in a related lawsuit. The suit was filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, Sacramento Division. The law at issue, AB 2655, requires online platforms to receive reports about posts related to elections, public officials, and candidates for office that are deemed “materially deceptive” and then remove or label the content. The law was fast-tracked in July when California Gov. Gavin Newsom complained that an online video satirizing the Democratic candidate for president, Kamala Harris, ought to be “illegal.” The state legislature responded by passing a package of bills, which Newsom signed. He subsequently celebrated that he had successfully banned the video that had offended him in the first place. “The very thought of the government judging the content of political speech, and then deciding whether it should be permitted, censored, or eliminated altogether is about the most chilling thing you could imagine,” said Chris Pavlovski, Chairman and CEO of Rumble. “Rumble will always celebrate freedom and support creative independence, so we’re delighted to work with ADF to help protect lawful online expression.” ABOUT RUMBLE Rumble is a high-growth video platform and cloud services provider that is creating an independent infrastructure. Rumble’s mission is to restore the internet to its roots by making it free and open once again. For more information, visit: corp.rumble.com . Contact: press@rumble.com
